Selfless Parents - Mai Esther Dimte (HLD)

Being a parent means becoming a child once again. You do everything just like a child. You play in the playground. You sing kid’s songs. You read kid’s books. You watch kid’s movies. You talk like kids. You probably act like kids too sometimes.

Being a parent means becoming a super hero. For your children, you are the strongest. For your children, you can fix anything. For your children, you can buy anything. For your children, you are not scared of anything. For your children, you are super human who can afford and beat anything.

Being a parent means becoming selfless. You give all your time, your energy, and your money to your children. You literally work for them. You are their nurse when they are sick. You are the cook. You are the housekeeper. You are their babysitter. You are their first teacher. They are your bosses. They don’t come with direction nor do they pay you.

Parenting job is not easy at all. It is difficult. It is exhausting. It is most rewarding job as well. It is bittersweet. Regardless of the circumstances, please always be thankful to God for your beautiful children!

So my friends who are also parents out there, I want you to remember to pause and applause for your hard work every once in a while. Treat yourself a little bit of something you really like and don’t feel guilty for it because you deserve it well.

Number 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”
